"Working on the Eagle Bay program team has been one of the most fulfilling things I’ve ever done. I get a chance to help facilitate the fun of camp, and show each and every camper how the joy of the Lord is something they can rely on through every phase of their life - good or bad. Not only that, but I get a chance to interact with every camper in a large group setting and smaller settings as well. Having the chance to get to know every camper and hear about their life; as well as answering their questions about faith is such a unique opportunity that I definitely do not take for granted. Working on the program team really allows me to make meaningful connections with every child and show them the love of Jesus, while also having so much fun in the process. Whether I am yelling “who’s excited for camp” or explaining the rules of capture the flag, each moment of working on the program team presents a new opportunity to show the next generation the light of living a life for Jesus."

"The challenge of a summer of camp ministry is no match for the joy and goodness it creates. Having an opportunity to foster the spiritual development of LITs and SLPs is an unmatched experience. While there are dishes to do and bathrooms to clean, the unique environment and community that is built with each LIT/SLP group is really special. For me, the most daunting task of being an LIT coordinator was being responsible for the discipleship of the LITs. We are called to go and make disciplines, but it took some convincing for me to truly believe that this calling was meant for me. As an LIT coordinator, I would have never expected the personal growth that came from serving and leading the LITs that joined us this past summer. In looking back at my previous summers at Eagle Bay, the joy of the Lord has truly been my strength."
